JOB TITLE:                           Licensing Manager

SALARY:                                £35,173 - £39,492 (37 hours per week Mon-Fri)

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Licensing Officer looking for a new challenge.

Situated within the Environmental Health Partnership, you’ll lead the Licensing and Support Team in the delivery of the Licensing Service. The Partnership provides Environmental Health and Licensing functions across both Fareham and Gosport councils whilst maintaining the individual identity of both.

You’ll ensure Council policies and enforcement follow legal frameworks, interpret licencing laws and be the Council expert in licencing for both Fareham and Gosport.

You’ll lead the co-ordination and development of licensing policies and support and assist Officers within Environmental Health, Parking and Licensing to improve service delivery and performance.

You’ll manage a Support Team who undertake routine taxi licensing, TENs and Personal licences. The team provide reception, admin and finance support for the department, book pest control appointments and carry out parking administration across Fareham and Gosport as well as other ad hoc duties.

You’ll ensure the Support Team have the resources and support to enable them to carry out their varied roles.

Experience of licensing and enforcement will be essential for the successful person.

Organisation skills, accuracy and flexibly in your approach to work will be essential in achieving job requirements across both boroughs.  You’ll need good communication skills, to present a positive image and deliver excellent customer service.
