Environmental Health Officer - Health Protection (Part Time)

 (22.2 hours per week)

Salary £29,909 - £34,106 (SCP 33 – 38) + £2047 market supplement p.a. (pro rata)

We are looking for a part time EHO to help deliver and develop our Health Protection Service. You will be part of the team ensuring that we deliver a customer focussed service addressing our statutory duties in food safety, health and safety and licensing, as well as promoting initiatives to improve health and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to work in partnership with other agencies and authorities
  • Have a track record of achievement in your field, with a passion for providing customer focussed health protection services
  • Be able to demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills
  • Have an awareness of the impact that we can have on businesses and have a better business for all ethos supporting our compliant businesses
  • Will not shy away from the enforcement role where standards are not met
  • Will actively engage with the public health agenda and with Better Business for All
  • Take a lead role in one or more of the team’s ongoing activities.
