£49,608 - £50,842 per annum


We have an exciting opportunity at West Suffolk Councils’ to become a Environmental Health Service Manager  joining our dedicated team based in Bury St Edmunds. In return,  as our Environmental Health Service Manager  you will receive a competitive starting salary £49,608 - £50,842 per annum depending on qualifications/experience (potentially rising to £56,119 through annual Performance Review awards) + Essential Car User Allowance and Benefits.

Our ideal Environmental Health Service Manager  :

In delivering ‘Good Growth’ there has never been a more exciting time to join us.  We are looking for an ambitious and results focused individual who seeks opportunities and wants to innovate and drive the delivery of our agenda. You will be someone with experience in Environmental Health or Environmental Management with a relevant professional qualification e.g. Diploma in Environmental Health (course accredited by Chartered Institute of Environmental Health) and/or appropriate qualification relevant in Environmental Management.

You will have significant experience in leading relevant teams, support service development and have the ability to identify and exploit commercial opportunities for the benefit of the council.  Experience of successfully leading and managing professional teams.  A strong understanding of budget setting and monitoring.
