Torbay Council is looking for a driven individual, keen to showcase their ability to deliver high level housing interventions, who values a multi-agency approach to problem solving and has a track record of enforcing compliance.

We are offering the opportunity for this person to live in a beautiful environment whilst developing and perfecting their professional skills addressing the challenges faced by the bay and its people.

The bay offers a wealth of recreational opportunities for families and has a lively night time economy. There is something for everyone.

Torbay Council and in particular the Community Safety department are dynamic and forward thinking. We have a rich history of award nomination and recognition and are well respected by our partners. The successful candidate will report to the Housing Standards Manager acting as the lead officer in a part of the service delivering proactive interventions and Torbay Council’s HMO licensing scheme.

The successful candidate will be able to develop their supervisory skills, develop an approach to proactive service delivery, be responsible for delivering the HMO licensing scheme, foster relationships with partner services and deliver projects such as Torbay’s Rogue Landlord program.
