We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join us as Head of the Official Feed & Food Controls (OFFC) Performance Management Team.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is a non-ministerial department with a big vision; to use our expertise and influence so people can trust that the food they buy and eat is safe and what it says it is. The OFFC Performance Management Team is part of our Regulatory Compliance Division - recently established to prepare for the challenges of EU Exit and the transition to the modernised regulatory system being delivered under the ‘Regulating Our Future’ Programme.

You will ideally be a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner, Food Safety Officer or Trading Standards Officer with extensive knowledge of the regulatory delivery landscape for feed and food in the UK. You will be responsible for building and leading a multi-disciplinary team through a period of substantial change to deliver a challenging and high-profile work programme to provide assurance that the regulatory delivery bodies for feed and food safety are operating in accordance with the standards set by the FSA as the central competent authority.

This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career at an exciting time for the FSA – allowing you to combine your knowledge, expertise and experience with your excellent management skills in a friendly and supportive team. The FSA is part of the Civil Service and offers excellent benefits and outstanding career opportunities.
