Job description
What happens when innovation and ambition meet expertise and excellence?
Merton, Richmond and Wandsworth’s shared regulatory services partnership is a shining example of the power of creative collaboration. Bringing together a range of environmental health, enforcement, technical and income generating activities, the partnership is trailblazing a new approach to regulatory services in the capital and shaping a city class commercial operation that provides outstanding results for businesses and communities. As Head of Regulatory Services Partnership you will redesign and reshape our service offering, bringing dynamism, fresh thinking and transformative leadership that enhances customer experience, delivers efficiency and drives income growth.
About the role
Reporting to Merton’s Assistant Director, Public Protection and as a member of the RSP Management Board, you will provide strategic leadership of the Regulatory Services Partnership.
You will develop and transform the functions and services of the partnership, leading a team of over 100 staff across all aspects of the organisation’s statutory and commercial operations. Bringing a consistent focus to customer excellence, best practice and value for money, you will help secure the partnership’s future as the pre-eminent provider of regulatory services in the capital.
Leading, engaging and influencing across a tri-borough partnership, you will ensure strategies, policies and services reflect the vision, objectives and values of the partner Councils while securing integrated service delivery and effective collaboration with key partner agencies.
About you
You will be an experienced senior manager with a background in regulatory services and a track record of leading and delivering successful change. You will need to bring the qualifications and credentials necessary to deliver statutory services that help keep our residents safe. At the same time we will want to see how you have contributed to commercial development and income generation. We are a people business and are building a team of talented, committed staff who share our values and ambitions. You will be able to show us how you have attracted and grown the best people.
