We are pleased to be able to offer an opportunity for a new Environmental Health Officer/Technical Officer vacancy within our dynamic and busy Housing & Environmental Services department.

If you enjoy a challenge and the reward of success, you could be who we are looking for. Based within the Private Sector Housing Team, you will be on the front line in dealing with members of the public, ensuring acceptable housing conditions within the district, including contributions to enforcement, empty homes, DFG and housing renewal programmes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated individual to make a significant contribution to our team. To be considered for this post as an Environmental Health Officer, you will have a degree or diploma in Environmental Health (or equivalent) and be registered (or eligible to register) with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board. However, we will also accept applications from candidates who aren’t qualified but have practical experience within a busy Environmental Health department including Private Sector Housing delivery to be a Technical Officer.

You must have excellent communication skills, a proven ability to manage and prioritise your own workload and an ability to act assertively on legal matters. A true team player, you will be rewarded with becoming part of a friendly but focused team that thrives on outstanding customer service.

Please visit www.broadland.gov.uk/jobsatbroadland for job details and to apply online.

Closing date: 9am on Monday 18 February 2019.
