Environmental Health/Technical Officer - Pollution
We have an excellent opportunity for any contractor looking for a long term assignment!
Our client from South Wales is looking to appoint an experienced Environmental Health/Technical Officer to work alongside their Environmental Protection and Housing team. The work will include routine responses to service requests, statutory nuisance work, including noise, odour, water and air quality, responses to planning applications and contaminated land. It would also be desirable if you have experience within Private Sector Housing. Please note, it is essential that you have recent experience in Air Quality and Planning Applications.
To apply you will need to have recent work experience in a similar capacity, having at least a minimum of one year post qualification experience of pollution and housing enforcement in a Local Authority. You will be expected to manage your own caseload so you will need to be well organised and you will need to be able to work under minimal supervision. Good communication skills are essential and you must be comfortable dealing with the general public.
This contract is covering maternity leave and will continue until January 2020! This is a full time post but our client is willing to allow some flexibility for the right candidate. Rates are negotiable.
