Tewkesbury Borough includes a wide variety of town, village and rural communities, the population of which has grown steadily in recent times and is expected to continue to grow at a rapid pace in the next twenty years.  The borough is also economically vibrant and well placed to benefit from significant economic growth over the same period. This pace of growth will present both opportunities and challenges for the council. The Borough is served by excellent transport links and supports a wide range of economic activity from micro-businesses to multinational companies

Tewkesbury Borough and the surrounding area is an excellent place to live and work. Our towns, villages and countryside offer outstanding natural beauty. The skills base in the local economy is high, unemployment is generally low and people genuinely enjoy living here..

The Environmental Health Team is busy, multi-disciplinary team which covers traditional environmental health areas such as food safety, health and safety, environmental protection, and housing. The Councils licensing function is also included in the Teams remit.

Due to an internal service review a number of exciting opportunities have arisen within the Council’s Environmental Health Team.
