Stafford Borough is growing at an unprecedented rate and recent figures show more than £1.5 billion has been invested in, or planned for, the area.  So far there has been the delivery of a £100 million town centre retail scheme, expansion of the Army’s Beacon Barracks and thousands of new jobs created.

This level of growth is set to continue with work underway on a £10 million Council funded leisure scheme, further investment of £83 million is underway at a new Business Park, a number of large housing schemes set to be stated - and Stafford will be a hub station for HS2.

The Council is a forward thinking authority planning to meet the key challenges of this unprecedented growth. We are therefore seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated professional to join us!

As the Regulatory Services Manager, you will lead our team covering Environmental Protection, Food Safety and Health and Safety. You will need to have the ability to manage the team’s staff within the budget and resources available, so as to deliver all the functions allocated to the team and contribute to the Corporate Business and Service Plans in an effective and efficient manner.

The successful candidate will have the drive for, and will strive for high performance exhibiting values and behaviours as follows: Energetic/enthusiastic/”can do” attitude; innovative, ambitious, co-operation, collaboration and be an agent for change.

You will need to have excellent skills in motivating staff, communication, prioritising and planning.  The role presents a valuable career opportunity for those willing to enhance their skills and experience at this grade.
