Private Sector Housing Manager

Permanent, full-time position (37 hours per week)

Grade K - £43,035 per annum 

Are you passionate about good quality housing and understand the links between health and housing? We are seeking an, experienced and proactive housing and Environmental Health professional with advanced technical and leadership skills to manage our Private Sector Housing team. 

You will need to be a trained Environmental Health Officer, with ideally at least two years’ experience working within a Private Sector Housing team. You’ll also need to have managed or supervised a team and have the ability to motivate, inspire and empower staff.

We are looking for a person who is able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external partners, such as our Members and colleagues from housing associations, Social Services and Health. 

You’ll also be innovative and able to identify new ways to improve the services available to residents, particularly through use of the Better Care Fund. We also need someone who is skilled in managing the Council’s resources and a large budget effectively
