We are looking for 2 keen and ambitious Environmental Health Officers to join our Environmental Health team dealing primarily but not exclusively with the full range of pollution control activities across the City including environmental permitting, land contamination, air quality, noise, nuisance, public health and reviewing planning applications.

To apply for this role you will need to hold a degree in Environmental Health and a Certificate of Registration of the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) or equivalent. Ideally you will also hold a post graduate Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control or Certificate of Competence in Environmental Noise Measurement. You will also need to have current practical knowledge, preferably with some regulatory experience.

The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to deal confidently and effectively with the public, businesses and members of other organisations. A strong work ethic, ability to manage a varied caseload, positive approach to delivering improvements and a commitment to customer service are essential.

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
