Head of Food, Safety, Corporate Safety, Licensing & Emergency Planning

Full time:  36 hours per week, Permanent contract

Salary: MG5 £46,505 to £69,750 per annum

As Head of Food, Safety, Licensing & Emergency Planning, you will be responsible for the operational provision, delivery and development of these services. Working to support the Assistant Director of Public Protection, you will provide clear direction, leadership and support to staff; ensuring we operate within a culture that encourages innovation, manages performance and delivers excellent services.

You will have a thorough understanding of the issues facing the services under your responsibility and have the credibility and gravitas to lead the teams within your remit to deliver excellent services, whilst challenging the status quo and developing alternative delivery models.

You will have excellent leadership and management qualities, including experience of managing change, people and budgets.  This will come with the ability to take people with you and a commitment to working collaboratively with other stakeholders and colleagues across the organisation.

A degree and/or relevant professional accreditation, preferably in the file of Environmental Health, Licensing, Trading Standards or Housing will be advantageous.
