This is an outstanding opportunity to work across two modern, ambitious organisations striving to be the best in class when it comes to local government service. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and diligent individual to join our busy and innovative Environmental Protection Team. The role is for an Environmental Health Officer in a newly formed team which covers both local authority areas. You will be required to work across both local authority areas with offices in Petersfield and Havant. The remit of the team includes investigating all types of nuisance complaints, responding to and providing advice in connection with planning and licensing consultations, air quality, LAPPC and some public health functions.

Environmental Health strives to be an exemplar provider of public services that protects and enhances neighbourhoods through mediation, regulation and enforcement. East Hampshire District Council and Havant Borough Council are committed to improving the way they deliver Environmental Health Services. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be a great team player. You will need a full UK driving licence.

The Career Grade takes account of the range of candidates who could be interested in the role from recently qualified to experienced officers.

This post is a full time role. However, all applications will be considered.

For an informal discussion, please contact David Fitzgerald - Environmental Protection Manager, Gemma Richards - Pollution Team Leader or Charlotte Adcock – Pollution Team Leader on 01730 234304.
Please apply at www.easthants.gov.uk/jobs-and-careers. No CVs or agencies please.

Closing date for receipt of applications is midnight on 8th July 2018. Interviews are expected to occur on the week commencing the 16th July 2018

Prior consideration will be given to those on the redeployment register or at risk of redundancy at East Hampshire District Council and Havant Borough Council.
