Dartford Environmental Health is a partnership service with Sevenoaks District Council. The service is based at Dartford Borough Council offices with a satellite facility at Sevenoaks. The districts are diverse both in geography and opportunities to experience a wide range of environmental health work. The areas include Bluewater Shopping Centre, Ebbsfleet Garden City, Brands Hatch motor racing circuit and a number of National Trust properties.

The partnership is offering the opportunity for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified and experienced person to join its innovative commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a busy team working across two contrasting local authority areas.

The areas offers opportunities to manage a varied and rewarding workload. The role will involve delivering day to day environmental health services including conducting food hygiene inspections, risk based health and safety inspections and customer requests for services and advice.

The ideal candidate must be capable of working on their own initiative and manage workloads while also being able to work as part of a team and support colleagues. You must have excellent communication and time management skills and be a confident decision maker. You will be working with a wide variety of stakeholders including partner organisations and residents

A full driving licence and access to your own car is required for this post.

37 Hours per week, Monday – Friday. Free parking. Flexi-time available.
