Trainee Food and Safety Officer/Food and Safety Officer

£20,661 rising to £26,964 (inc’ £2,000 market supplement) on completion of EHRB registration.

This position is ideally suited to someone nearing completion of an environmental health degree/MSc or the Higher Certificate in Food Control. We can offer the right person an opportunity to complete a period of structured practical training in order to obtain registration with the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB). On successful completion of registration you will be appointed as an authorised food safety officer on the higher grade. The post is, of course, open to fully qualified and EHRB registered officers (who would be immediately appointed on the higher grade).

Ideally you will also hold an appropriate qualification in health and safety (however, we can arrange training for the right person). There are a wide range of other duties, including port health work.

You will be working in a pleasant rural setting close to the Cotswold escarpment but within minutes of the M5 and easy access to Gloucester and Bristol. This is a very attractive area in which to live and work.

For an informal discussion please contact Phil Park on 01453 754471.
