The contrasts and challenges in Environmental Health range from the past historical land uses to the current construction and developments being undertaken in the Borough. The team manages and delivers on award winning projects and has a robust Air Quality monitoring and management profile.

The Pollution Team is based within the Environmental Health and Trading Standards Service and is able to draw on resources and expertise across the Service.
The post holder will assist us in dealing with air quality projects.
We are able to offer a 35 hour week with flexi-time (a maximum of two ‘flexi’ days can be taken in a four week period), structured training opportunities (CPD), excellent salaries an additional car user allowance, advisory and enforcement work and a minimum of 6 weeks paid leave a year
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the key pollutants within an inner city environment and will have an understanding of monitoring and delivering on air quality projects.
They will be working in a multi-skilled team dealing with air quality projects, contaminated land, permitted processes, investigating complaints, dealing with planning applications. The candidate must be prepared to assist in these key areas of work as need arises.
The successful applicant will have a background in environmental analysis and monitoring, majoring on air quality and have a good understanding of project delivery.
