With continued pressure on services and decreasing funding there are still tough challenges ahead. The Council is now looking to recruit talented environmental health professionals to join our newly formed Environmental and Community Protection Department.
Team Leader - Environmental Health- Up to £47,995
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, ambitious and driven Environmental Health Manager to lead a busy team covering a wide range of regulatory functions in Food Safety, Health and Safety and Environmental Protections. As part of the department’s management team you will have an opportunity to shape our work in Environmental Health as well contributing to cross cutting corporate initiatives.
Team Leader Corporate Health & Safety and Resilience- Up to £47,995
We are looking to recruit a highly effective, innovative and driven Health and Safety Manager to lead a small but busy team of Health and Safety and Reliance officers. As part of the department’s management team you will have an opportunity to shape the Councils work Health and Safety lead the way in improving the Councils emerging Health and Safety Culture.
Lead Environmental Health Officers x2- Up to £42,269
We are seeking to appoint two fully qualified Lead Environmental Health Officer to work within our Environmental Health Team, the first covering the regulatory areas of Food Safety, Health and Safety, Infectious Disease Control and Public Health. The second covering Environmental Protection regulatory areas including Acoustics, Air Quality, Contaminated Land, Private Water Supplies and LAPPC.
As the successful candidate(s) you must have a positive attitude to change and be keen to work in a busy team. You will be highly motivated and be expected to deliver against a challenging work plan.
Technical Officer (Health &Safety and Resilience) up to £29,119
We are looking to appoint a technical officer that is keen to work in Health and Safety. Experience in resilience is beneficial but not essential. This exciting opportunity would suit a highly ambitious individual, that is keen to drive through proactive health and safety strategies.
These roles are based in our brand new building, The Forum which combines a number of services including the Library and a voluntary services hub. The Borough of Dacorum has great transport links and the Council also encourages remote working if it is relevant to the post.
