Regional Safe Mission Adviser (South Region)  

£34,287-£36,667 pa (pro rata, minimum 17.5 hrs pw) plus fleet car 

Home based within the Region (e.g. London, Essex, Herts, Kent, Sussex)  

As Regional Safe Mission Adviser you will provide assistance to front-line mission leaders in the United Kingdom Territory to enable them to secure safe mission objectives across all programme areas. This will be achieved by a combination of on-site support and delivery of accredited training courses.  

Key Responsibilities:  

In conjunction with the Head of Safe Mission, devise a strategy to provide a programme of on-site support to all local mission leaders in the region to ensure that all foreseeable risks arising from mission activities are appropriately assessed and then reduced so far as is reasonably practicable.  

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:  

Diploma in Environmental Health or Accredited Degree in Environmental Health and Environmental Health Registration Board Certificate of Registration OR NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or accredited degree in Occupational Safety and Health 

Environmental Health Practitioner (EHP) with a EHRB certificate of registration and with at least voting membership (MCIEH) of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) OR a Safety and Health Practitioner (SHP) with a graduate membership (gradIOSH) or higher of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) 

Two or more years recent experience dealing with occupational safety, health & welfare in a regulatory or commercial environment  

Full UK driving licence  

Ability to work under own initiative with minimal day to day supervision.
