Our Local Authority client in Central London is recruiting for an Environmental Health Officer to lead and take personal responsibility for a full range of EH consultation responses to planning applications.

Principally the focus will be on Noise including an understanding of Nuisance/Contaminated Land (Environmental Protection Act 1990), Control of Pollution Act 1974 and to process highly complex correspondence, ensuring it is effectively and efficiently carried out to identifiable deadlines in a manner that is successful in meeting the Council’s targets and objectives.

You will also be responsible for analysis of acoustic reports and ideally hold a specialist acoustic qualification to demonstrate competence in this area.

Additionally you will prepare appropriate specifications and reports to planning based on the council's planning conditions.

You will hold a BSc/Diploma in Environmental Health or Acoustics Diploma or similar qualification. 

The post will initially be for a 3 month period and will be reviewed thereafter.
