These are challenging times, calling for leaders who can embrace change, provide clear direction and deliver results.

Bromley Council is delivering a commissioning programme that challenges the way we do things.  Delivering excellent services in times of reduced resources is never easy but we believe there are innovative and collaborative solutions still to be found.

As Assistant Director of Public Protection, responsible for a range of services including Environmental Health, Licensing, Trading Standards, Housing Enforcement and Community Safety, your challenge will be to review current operating models, recommend options for improvement and deliver agreed solutions.

You will have a thorough understanding of the issues facing the services under your responsibility and have the credibility and gravitas to lead the team to deliver excellent services, whilst challenging the status quo and developing alternative delivery models.

Working as part of the Environment Services Senior Management Team you will play a pivotal role in providing clear direction, leadership and support to staff; ensuring we operate within a culture that encourages innovation, manages performance and delivers excellent services.

The programme of change is moving at a fast pace and therefore requires a dynamic and resourceful individual who can deliver our ambitions by 2020.

Are you up for the challenge?
