Salary: £41,427 - £43,455 per annum 37 hrs per week, (Relocation package available)

Rushcliffe Borough Council provides high-quality services to more than 110,000 residents in a borough made up of vibrant towns and stunning villages. Our Council offices are located in West Bridgford, Nottingham in a new purpose built office and leisure centre facility, the Rushcliffe Arena.
This vacancy is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced environmental health professional looking to use their management experience to lead a well-regarded and progressive ‘environmental health’ service. Core to the role will be the performance and resource management of a broad range of successful and complimentary services including Food Safety, Licensing, Health & Safety, Environmental Protection, Private Sector Housing, Enviro Crime, Dog and Pest Control and Community Safety, working in partnership with the Police and other local organisations.
This is a broad and challenging agenda with high expectations from elected members and residents therefore the post holder MUST have current or recent experience of at least three of the aforementioned sectors.
The post holder will also work closely with the Executive Manager Neighbourhood’s to formulate the strategic and policy framework for environmental health under the direction of elected members. In addition you will contribute to the wider management and leadership of the Council’s performance with the opportunity to be involved in corporate projects.
Ideally you will also bring a commercial mind to the delivery of regulatory services combined with excellent communication skills and a genuine motivation to support the Council’s ambitions.
