Our local authority client in the Midlands is looking to recruit a Housing officer who is able to undertake the full remit with Private Sector Housing.
You will be asked to carry out private sector housing site visits, inspections and enforcement interventions. Investigate complaints, HHSRS, Housing of disrepair, overcrowding, HMO licensing, filthy & verminous, public health EHO case progression and management.
You will be required to work with other Council departments, members of the public, tenants and landlords. You must hold the HHSRS Cert and have proven experience of working within this field.
Ideally they would be looking for someone who could join them on a full-time basis but they would be willing to consider part-time hours also.
The assignment will initially be for 3 months, with the possibility of an extension thereafter.
