Salary: £29,691 to £38,769 per annum
Contracted Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
The Council’s Private Housing Team is looking for an experienced Environmental Health Officer.
The post will be working within the Private Housing Team, to improve housing standards, by working with residents, landlords and homeowners, using a range of interventions to improve on the health and wellbeing of those residents living in the private sector.

As a Principal Environment Health Officer, your duties include but are not confined to:
- Responding to complaints of disrepair in privately rented accommodation
- Giving advice, conducting detailed inspections and surveys.
- Taking necessary enforcement action where necessary in relation to the relevant Housing Acts and related legislation.
- Inspecting houses in multiple occupations and securing compliance with statutory requirements.
- HMO licensing.
- Supporting the delivery of the Private Housing Well Homes Project.
