Environmental Protection Officer

Salary: £24,276 - £32,575 per annum (Grade E-F) dependent on qualifications and experience + Essential User car allowance

Hours: 37 per week (we would consider applicants for both full and part time positions, please state your preferred hours on the application form)

Shepway District Council is seeking a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and committed officer to join our Environmental Protection Team. Working effectively with a range of stakeholders and partners your duties will cover a full range of environmental protection services including; contaminated land, air quality, drainage, nuisance investigations, planning consultations, private drinking water and other general areas of environmental protection work.  

If you have experience of working within Environmental Protection or worked in a similar field and have qualifications and experience which demonstrates an understanding of some of the specialist work areas this could also be an opportunity for you.  You will need to be self-motivated, self-disciplined and have a strong customer focus, the ability to prioritise and work dynamically across teams, and the capability to think and act strategically and innovatively in a Political environment.  If this sounds like an opportunity that you are looking for, then we want to hear from you.
