Team Leader - Housing
Our client, in East London, are looking for a Team Leader responsible for the overall management of the Health and Housing Team, including the management of staff, delegated budgets and all other allocated resources. You will be responsible for 7 people including a Principal Environmental Health Officer to two Technical Officers and you will be responsible to the Head of Environmental Health.
While managing the team carrying out the Directorates housing standards and mortuary service functions and to develop policies and strategies to provide an efficient, effective and equal service you will also be asked to carry out enforcement activities in commercial and domestic premises, particularly those presenting problems of contentious or complex nature or where outcomes have substantial resource implications.
The successful candidate will have experience leading a Housing team within a Local Authority, due to the need for front line work you must also hold the HHSRS certificate and be up to date with the latest Housing legislation. You will be offered an initial 3 month contract and be paid £30-£33.20 LTD depending on experience.
