Our client in the Midlands is recruiting for an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to hold primary accountability for all anti-social behaviour case management, within a designated caseload.

  

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To contribute to the development and implementation of the delivery of excellent services.
  • To be aware of all relevant and regulatory frameworks within the anti-social behaviour service.
  • To support a performance management culture focused on achieving key objectives.
  • To take personal responsibility for the development and promotion of customer focused services.
  • To contribute to the development of Service Area plans, which meet the diverse needs, requirements and aspirations of customers
  • To contribute to establishing a well-motivated and empowered team, supporting colleagues and partners showing mutual respect and understanding of each other’s roles and responsibilities at all times.
  • To act as an ambassador of the Council by displaying a professional and responsible attitude at all times.
  • To be responsible for maintaining effective liaison and partnership working with external and internal organisations.

  • To ensure that legal, statutory and any other relevant provisions governing or affecting Services are strictly observed.
  • To support the Principal Officer and Housing Services Team Leader in the management of an excellent customer focussed anti-social behaviour service.
  • In partnership with others, deliver effective anti-social behaviour services to tenants and leaseholders that meet their needs and aspirations.
  • To manage and be accountable for a case load of active anti-social behaviour cases from their inception to conclusion.
  • To manage complains of anti-social behaviour through a prescribed incremental partnership approach, and undertake any associated work regarding preventative or enforcement action.
  • To identify risk through completion of a risk assessment for all complainants and alleged perpetrators of anti-social behaviour.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive information on all arrangements and actions taken and prepare legal documentation where required.
  • Ensure that the IT systems and property files are kept up to date at all times.
  • To act as the main point of contact in terms of all multi agency partnership working and data sharing for the open cases that you manage.
  • To attend various partnership groups relating to ASB, including the ASB steering group, All Crime Joint Action Group, Integrated Offender Management panels, MARAC, etc., where they impact upon cases that you manage.
  • To act as professional lead for one or more of the following areas:  Offender Management, Domestic Abuse, Performance Management, Safeguarding, Children and Young People, Customer Involvement. This list is not exhaustive and may be added to operationally.
  • Ensure that all ASB paperwork is comprehensive, accurate and provided in a timely manner.  This may entail preparing documentation from time to time out of normal working hours.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive information on all arrangements and actions taken and prepare legal documentation where required.  Ensure that the IT systems and property files are kept up to date at all times.
  • Ensure that the Sentinel Security Operating Procedures are adhered to at all times, reporting potential breaches to the Housing Services Manager promptly.
  • Assist the Principal Officer and Housing Services Team Leader in reviewing all anti-social behaviour strategies, policies and procedures
  • To assist with the development of all IT related packages relating to anti-social behaviour.
  • To participate in the development, implementation and successful delivery of anti-social behaviour projects including performance reviews and service improvement initiatives.
  • In conjunction with colleagues via a rota system ensure that the office is covered at all times and that visitors to reception are seen upon request within the agreed service standards.
  • Ensure effective liaison with Tenancy Support and other agencies to provide additional care and support to our most vulnerable tenants.
  • Work alongside the income team to assist them to maximise rental and other housing income to the organisation.
  • Work alongside the sheltered housing service to ensure that those residents receive a combined joined up approach.
  • Ensure effective liaison with Tenancy Support and other agencies to provide additional care and support to our most vulnerable tenants.
  • In partnership with others ensure that leaseholders on our estates and in our communities receive an excellent service.
  • Respond to the needs of the housing service, becoming interchangeable with tenancy and estate management officers where necessary.
