Housing Standards and Enforcement Officer

Band 8 £25,951 to £29,323 plus essential car user allowance
Full time – 37 hrs per week
Based at the Guildhall, Gainsborough

West Lindsey District Council has an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who wishes to contribute to improving housing standards and tackling rogue and criminal landlords.

The post is ideal for any candidate who is self-motivated and driven and who wishes to make a difference on a day to day basis, improving the lives of those affected by poor housing conditions and management.

Working within a small, flexible and multi-disciplined team the post provides an excellent opportunity to further develop and enhance skills and experience across a number of areas.

The role will have an active caseload and also be responsible for communicating with and providing advice and guidance to a variety of stakeholders across the district. The individual will need to be organised, methodical and have investigatory skills.
