Stroud District Council are seeking two enthusiastic, self-motivated, fully qualified Environmental Health Officers who are EHRB registered to join the Environmental Health Service. If you have experience in food safety, health and safety or environmental protection, you could be just the person we need to join our busy Environmental Health service.

Principal Environmental Health Officer (Commercial Services)

You will be responsible for managing the full range of food safety and health and safety enforcement activities in an area of the District and will be assisted by a Food and Safety Officer. There is also a small port in the area.

Principal Environmental Health Officer (Environmental Protection)

You will supervise and undertake detailed assessments, inspections and investigations within the areas of statutory nuisance, Environmental Permits, air quality, anti-social behaviour and private water supplies as well as participating in issues relating to licensing, planning and contaminated land. You will supervise two Environmental Protection Officers and will be expected to undertake reasonable required duties outside normal working hours.
