Environmental Health Officer –Food Safety Officer
Buckingham Futures are recruiting for an Environmental Health Officer – Food Safety/ Food Safety Officer in North London for 3 months (extendable) contract to contribute to achieving the our clients Vision by providing a comprehensive Food Safety in accordance with Service Development Plans, performance targets, legislation and the Council’s service standards and policies.
You will be required to carry out a range of Food Safety inspections, investigations, audits and other procedures and methods, using education, advice and enforcement techniques, to achieve legal compliance, customer satisfaction, and service and quality standards.
The Inspecting Officer must be able to demonstrate how they are capable of meeting the competencies relating to Inspection of Food Establishments (Cluster 4.) and hold 10 CPD hours on core food matters directly related to the delivery of official controls and 10 hours on other professional matters. This could include training needs identified by the Lead Food Officer during competency assessments/appraisals as specified in the current version of the Food Law Code of Practice and Practice Guidance.
It is essential that you have at least 2 years recent work as an Environmental Health Officer in the field of food safety within local authority Environmental Health departments as well as a Degree or diploma in Environmental Health, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and Posses EHRB registration (or equivalent).
