Environmental Health Officer/Higher Certificate Officer
Our client in Yorkshire is recruiting for a Food Inspector(s) to complete a back log of inspections by the end of March 2018. There are c451 inspections Category D inspections in total.
However, the service would like them to be spread out throughout the duration of the contract. i.e 100 in November, 51 in December, 100 in January, 100 in February and 100 in March.
Inspecting officers must hold one of the baseline qualifications, and have associated registration. The base line qualifications are Higher Certificate in Food Control or certificate of registration or Diploma issued by Environmental Health Registration Board (or equivalent).
The Inspecting Officers must be able to demonstrate how they are capable of meeting the competencies relating to Inspection of Food Establishments (Cluster 4.) and hold 10 CPD hours on core food matters directly related to the delivery of official controls and 10 hours on other professional matters. This could include training needs identified by the Lead Food Officer during competency assessments/appraisals as specified in the current version of the Food Law Code of Practice and Practice Guidance.
A copy of relevant qualifications, CPD certificates and certificates of registration with EHORB/EHRB must be held on file by Buckingham Futures before the contract commences.
NB - Because the work programme is flexible we are happy to split the workload between multiple Officers and happy to also allocate small batches to those with limited availability.
