Salary: £39,243 - £45,520

Contract Type: 1 Year fixed-term, full-time, 36 hours per week

The role

This is a new and exciting opportunity within our Supporting Communities Directorate.  The role will involve investigating and resolving complex Environmental Health related issues for people affected by the impact of the authorised HS2 works.  You will have the responsibility for investigation and management of a diverse and complex casework relating to residents effected by the environmental Health aspects of the HS2 scheme and will be expected to lead on performance measurement and prepare performance reports.  You will assist in resolving complaints from the community and provide assistance in mitigation and advice and support on how to engage with HS2 Ltd or their contractors.

About you

To succeed in this role you will need to have excellent knowledge and understanding of the impacts of the HS2 scheme and have experience and a sensitive approach in providing advice and support to the community.  You will have knowledge and understanding of Environmental Health Legislation and its application in relation to the HS2 scheme. You will hold a BSC/MSc or Diploma in Environmental Health and also hold a qualification in Acoustics.
