Food Safety Officers
Buckingham Futures have numerous exciting opportunities for Food Safety Officers throughout the UK on both an in-house and on a per inspection basis of all risk categories under the FSA Food Law Code of Practice.
Depending on individual clients requirements duties will include:
- Carrying out food inspections across a wide range of food businesses and determining necessary follow-up actions
- Managing and co-ordinating food sampling
- Responding to and investigating individual notifications of food poisoning and assisting in the investigation of food poisoning outbreaks
- Investigating complaints relating to food or food premises
Inspecting officers must hold one of the baseline qualifications, and have associated registration. The base line qualifications are Higher Certificate in Food Control or certificate of registration or Diploma issued by Environmental Health Registration Board (or equivalent).
The Inspecting Officers must be able to demonstrate how they are capable of meeting the competencies relating to Inspection of Food Establishments (Cluster 4.) and hold 10 CPD hours on core food matters directly related to the delivery of official controls and 10 hours on other professional matters.
A copy of relevant qualifications, CPD certificates and certificates of registration with EHORB/EHRB (or equivalent) must be held on file by Buckingham Futures before any contract commences.
