The Council are seeking an experienced Scientific Officer to undertake environmental protection work based in the Environmental Health team within Community Services.
This exciting new role will report to the Senior EHO and will predominantly involve investigative and enforcement duties in contaminated land. The role will also include enforcement duties relating to ensuring the quality of air, land and water is within established guidelines to protect human health and the environment.
You will ideally be a qualified Environmental Health Officer or have a relevant degree/equivalent qualification and will be able to demonstrate previous experience in contaminated land and pollution prevention control.
