Contracts Development Officer
Our client requires a Contracts Development Officer to assist with a range of projects that fall within scope of their 'Clean and Green' team. The team sits within the Communities, Localities and Culture directorate and undertakes projects in conjunction with front-line and contracted services including refuse disposal, recycling, refuse collection, cleansing, parks and open spaces and Highways Maintenance.
You will be expected to participate in regular meetings concerned with negotiations with third party contractors to ensure all the conditions of the contract are understood and met. On a daily basis you will be involved with examining performance data in order to identify weaknesses and strengths in contract performance and providing detailed information which will help inform contract decisions.
The ideal candidate for this role will have worked in a similar capacity previously and have a good understanding of practical issues in the operational management of the services mentioned. It would also be well suited to an enviro health (or similar) graduate who is looking to progress a career wihtin the public sector. Good admin and IT skills are absolutely essential and you will need to be very well organised with the ability to manage a busy workload.
The role is based in East London and will pay around £17-£20/hr. The initial contract will last 3 months and is likely to extend.
