Food for Health Award scheme Food Manager
Working on behalf of a Local Authority in East London, Buckingham Futures have an excellent opportunity for an experienced food manager to lead their Food for Health Award scheme.
The award is for businesses offering healthy food choices to customers. The aim is to draw attention to where healthy and nutritious menu choices are available.
This contributes to improving everyone's diet and health. The scheme recognises the cafes, takeaways, restaurants, staff canteens, convenience stores and market traders that have made changes to the way that they prepare and cook their food to make it healthier for their customers - therefore making healthy choices easier.
It is also critical that you have excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and have a proven ability to explain negotiate and influence.
The ideal candidate would have experience dealing with Health Promotion work within local authorities; knowledge regarding the smoke free programme would also put you in a strong position to be considered for this role. A history of food hygiene with local authority is desirable.
The contract will take you into 2018 (Feb) with the possibility of an extension thereafter.
If you have the right skills, experience and qualifications for these roles and feel you match the requirements, or if you would like more information on the role, please contact us on 020 8732 5450 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
