Salary: £24,276 – £27,848 (Grade E) per annum

Hours: 37 per week

We are currently looking for a Senior Environmental Enforcement Officer to support us in achieving our aims of maintaining and improving the local environment. This is a new and exciting opportunity that will play a key role in delivering environmental enforcement, reducing environmental crime offences and undertaking community protection related services.

Leading the Environmental Enforcement team, you will manage the operational element of enforcement work and provide expert guidance to ensure that issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will need to have previous experience in an enforcement role and knowledge of environmental and dog control enforcement regulations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisation skills to manage resources and prioritise situations effectively are essential. Above all, you will be as passionate and enthusiastic about our local environment as we are.

The 37 hours will be worked on a shift basis between 07.00 hours and 19.00 hours, 7 days per week.  Work outside these hours may be required from time to time for targeted operations.
