Our client, based in Nottinghamshire, is looking to appoint an experienced DFG Officer to a role that could last for up to 3 months. Based within the Strategic Housing service, the post holder will play a key technical role in the delivery of major disabled adaptations to both council and privately owned properties and other forms of financial assistance and action to improve private sector property condition. This will involve property inspections, Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessment, drafting of schedules of work, overseeing works on site, processing grant applications and liaison with service users, contractors and other relevant bodies.
To apply for this role it is absolutely essential that you hold the HHSRS qualification, have good working knowledge of housing and grant assistance law and guidance and of building construction and maintenance.
As mentioned, the role will run for an initial 3 month period starting within the next few weeks. Your rates will be dependent upon your qualifications and experience. Rates will be negotiable.
