Kitchen Auditor / Inspector (EHO)
Our client has a project to audit 56 individual kitchens including primary and secondary schools. You will be required to monitor the school lunchtime service including the opening of the kitchen and preparation of food beforehand and cleaning of the kitchen before close. Following your site visit you will be required to complete a detailed written report assessment and with an action plan for areas of improvement to be presented to the catering team.
This role would be well suited to an Environmental Health Officer who has both public and private sector experience; ideally Chartered. You will need a good knowledge of all aspects of food hygiene and health and safety in the workplace, specifically within a kitchen environment. You will to be able to advise on working practices for safe food preparation and to improve the condition food premises and equipment. Any specific experience auditing school kitchens would be a distinct advantage; at the very least you will need to have knowledge of food preparation services.
The work is based in East London and our client is looking to pay on an hourly paid basis at around £30-£35/hr. The work programme is quite flexible so even if you have limited availability this will not be an issue.
