Abandoned Vehicles Officer
Our client in North London is recruiting for an Abandoned Vehicles Officer to ensure the timely delivery of the Abandoned Vehicle service through coordination, monitoring and administration duties. In line with NI targets and ensuring procedures adhere to Abandoned Vehicle Legislation and Council Procedures.
Main duties and responsibilities
Co-ordinate, monitor and administer the Abandoned Vehicle service.
Responding to public, police and colleague reports and enquiries. Initiating statutory notices and letters. Enquiries about vehicle ownership in accordance with Police and DVLA protocol. Establishing landownership.
Liaising with removal and disposal contractor. Managing the disposal of vehicles. Invoicing to recover charges. In line with NI targets and ensuring accurate performance reports.
Liaising with Enforcement Officers and ensuring procedures are followed in line with Abandoned Vehicle Legislation and Council Procedures.
Qualifications and experience
Knowledge of the Vehicle Excise & Registration Act 1994
Knowledge of Clean Neighbourhood and Environment Act 2005 (Desirable)
