ENVIRONMENTAL AND REGULATORY SERVICES

Salary: £29,324 - £32,845 (plus 4% shared working allowance, plus lease car)

The Environmental and Regulatory Services Group is an exciting shared service providing Environmental Health, Building Control and Licensing services to the residents and businesses of Cotswold, West Oxfordshire and Forest of Dean Districts.

An excellent opportunity has arisen as a Senior Officer in our Operations Function, for an enthusiastic and committed individual with a track record of excellence in service delivery.

Reporting to the Service Leader, this post will allow you to gain a wide range of experience with particular emphasis on private sector housing, environmental protection and enviro-crime work.  You will carry out a wide range of duties, taking on cases of a greater complexity, whilst supporting other team members in their routine work and providing technical supervision as necessary.  You will be based in one centre, but will work across all districts making full use of our remote working facilities.

You should have a relevant degree and be a member of a professional body and ideally have a postgraduate qualification; we will consider all candidates from related disciplines and professional experiences.

We’re becoming Publica

It’s a busy and exciting time for us. In addition to recruiting some great new people, we are currently making preparations for becoming Publica which will launch in the Autumn.

What is Publica?

Publica is a newly established company with a ground breaking approach to delivering high quality services to our local communities on behalf of the Councils it serves. It has been set up by and is publicly owned by four councils: Cheltenham, Cotswold, Forest of Dean and West Oxfordshire (currently known as the 2020 Partnership) with the objective of delivering services to the public more efficiently. Employees from Cotswold, Forest of Dean and West Oxfordshire District Councils will transfer to the Publica Group of companies in the autumn. The rights of employees transferring to Publica will be protected under TUPE.

For an informal discussion about this post, please contact Phil Measures – Service Leader philip.measures@2020partnership.uk or Stuart Rawlinson – Service Business Manager stuart.rawlinson@2020partnership.uk.
