Community Wellbeing Officer/ Environmental Health Practitioner 

Salary: up to £27,668 

Permanent, full time 37 hours per week with flexible working hours

Gloucester is a small, historic and vibrant city on the edge of the Cotswolds and conveniently located along the M5 with good transport links to the rest of the country. Our offices are located in the historic dock area of the City and close to the City Centre. 

Working generically you will be primarily responsible for the wide range of traditional environmental health functions and have opportunities to get involved in anti-social behaviour, public health related projects, asset based community development approaches and emergency planning. You will be working within a Community Wellbeing Team consisting of 12 officers and will report to our Community Wellbeing Manager. 

You must hold a BSc/MSc in Environmental Health or a Higher Certificate in Food Control, ideally are EHORB Registered (or equivalent) and have proven recent experience in one or more of the environmental health disciplines. Consideration may be given to newly graduated students who are working towards the EHORB registration. You will possess strong communication, organisational and time management skills, and be able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
