Nottingham has a huge offer for Environmental Health Practitioners, the compact City gives a variety of work in all of our teams; we pride ourselves on our professionalism, flexibility and our ability to look forward to the future. Our newly refurbished partnership offices with the Police are in the City Centre and give opportunities for a range of working arrangements. Housing in and around the City is affordable and of good quality and links to the rest of the Country are excellent.

This post is in our Environmental Health and Safer Places team who carry out traditional 'pollution control/EP' work, including assessing planning applications, the investigation and enforcement of complex noise cases, smoke control and permitting. The team also covers more diverse roles such as dealing with dangerous structures, other nuisance type work, Japanese Knotweed and occasional Legionella sampling in housing. Routine domestic noise investigations are dealt with by our Community Protection Officers as are most rubbish complaints and similar domestic issues.
