Salary: £26,536 - £39,762

Dartford and Sevenoaks Environmental Health Partnership are seeking an enthusiastic, suitably qualified and experienced professional to join its innovative Environmental Protection Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a busy team working across two contrasting and diverse local authority areas which include the Brands Hatch Motor Racing Circuit, Bluewater Shopping Centre and the Dartford Crossing. A large number of events and festivals take place within the district and significant development is taking place within the area including the Ebbsfleet Garden Village and a proposed theme park.

Within this role you will be given considerable responsibility and be expected to plan and deliver your own agreed work programme, whilst working with and supporting your team colleagues.

You will need to be obsessive about customer service and utilise a flexible approach to complaint investigation.  You must be a good communicator and have a thorough understanding of environmental protection legislation.

In addition, we would welcome applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas; private water supplies, air quality monitoring, acoustics or permitted processes.

For an informal discussion please contact Nick Chapman, Assistant Environmental Health Manager Environmental Protection on 01322 343160.

This is advertised as a full time permanent post. Your main place of work will be the office in Dartford, with additional hot desk facilities at our Sevenoaks offices. Your employment contract will be with Sevenoaks District Council. Please note harmonisation of terms and conditions with Dartford Borough Council colleagues may occur within the next two years.
