Our client is a is a forward thinking business, situated in the North East of England. They have a vast array of birds varying from Hawks, Eagles, Owls, Vultures and Falcons.

Candidates need not have their own birds. However if you do have your own birds they will ideally will be Harris Hawks and / or Hybrid Falcons.

 

Job Purpose:

o Flying birds of prey at designated sites ranging from beaches, city centres, andfill sites and waste transfer sites to control pest bird activity

o Carry out all methods of humane bird control, monitoring and maintaining a pest free environment

· Duties and Responsibilities:

o Inspect thoroughly for any signs of pest bird activity

o Fly birds of prey at previously agreed sites

o Ensure all legislative Laws are adhered to in the controlling of the pest bird activity

o Be responsible for the birds well-being and upkeep to the highest of standards

o Carry out all other forms of bird control including trapping, bird scaring, controlled shooting, flying kites, implementing / repairing various forms of proofing e.g. Nets, spikes and electronic devices.

 

Experience Required:

o At least 1 years’ experience in the handling and flying of birds of prey

o Good knowledge of Laws and Legislations relating to the vacancy

o Candidates must have a full and valid driving licence
