Our Local Authority client in the West Midlands is recruiting for an Environmental Health Officer / Technical Officer to deal with a range of hazards and problems associated with private sector housing to start asap on a 3 month extendable basis.

You will liaise with tenants, landlords, and other agencies, and have the opportunity and support to use the range of powers available to you to improve the housing standards and living conditions.

You must have HHSRS certification and ideally have carried out recently, HHSRS assessments, inspections & enforcement using the Housing Act 2004 HMO Licensing inspections, Fire safety advice/specification & plans Public Health complaint investigations Private Sewer/Drains complaints, investigations & enforcement Preparation of reports, notices, evidence gathering, interviewing Preparation of reports, witness statements and prosecution files.

Rate £24.00 - £27.00 per hour.
